Open Job Descriptions
Directors are voting members of the Board. They shall be persons of spiritual maturity, able to work well in leading others, have evidence of the gifts of the Spirit, communicate well (written and verbal communications including reading and writing reports), and be able to manage the budget of their department. They are to attend monthly and specially called Board of Directors’ meetings.

Fellowship Director

Relates Closely With: The Lead Pastor and Board of Directors.

Ministry Mission: To lead the volunteers involved with fellowship ministries.

Responsibilities

The Fellowship Director has the following responsibilities:
1. Organization and administration. Recruiting, training, encouraging, and organizing volunteers.
2. Represents Fellowship at the Board of Directors. When needed, prepares reports to the Board, Pastor, and Congregation.
3. Organizes and meets as necessary with the volunteers in the following areas: Women’s Ministry, Kitchen/Sunday Morning Ministry, Kiwanis’ Dinners, Memorial/Funeral Ministry, Special Events (Christmas Dinner, Missions Auctions).
4. Delegates ministry responsibilities to volunteers.
5. Maintains the Kitchen Supplies

 

Worship Director

Relates Closely With: The Lead Pastor and Board of Directors.

Ministry Mission: To lead the church worship ministries.

Responsibilities

The Worship Director has the following responsibilities:
6. Organization and administration. Recruiting, training, encouraging, and organizing volunteers.
7. Represents Worship at the Board of Directors. When needed, prepares reports to the Board, Pastor, and Congregation.
8. Organizes Sunday Morning Worship Experiences with the Lead Pastor. This includes communicating with Worship Team, helping to choose music, considering the worship experience: lighting, graphics, monthly Communion.
9. Delegates ministry responsibilities to volunteers.
10. Maintains the worship supplies and budget.

 

Children’s Ministry Coordinator(s) (does not need to be a member of Board of Directors)
Relates Closely With: The Lead Pastor, the Christian Education Director, and Board of Directors.

Ministry Mission: To help children worship God in age-appropriate ways. To help children become disciples of Christ.

This can be split to two positions: one for special events one for management of weekly volunteers or summer events.
Commitment can be a little as 1 to 2 Quarters.

Responsibilities

1. Organization and administration. Recruiting, training, encouraging, and organizing volunteers.
2. Represents children’s ministries on the Board of Directors (if appropriate)
3. Organizes and meets regularly with the children’s ministry staff.
4. Delegates ministry responsibilities to staff members.
5. Consults with the children’s coordinator on how the time will be divided and what age level the ministry will target.
6. Develop appropriate ministry programs during Sunday mornings and special events (family nights, Summer programs, etc.)
